An early morning five-alarm fire that damaged a line of stores and businesses in Williston Park was under control at 6:30 Thursday, Nassau County fire officials said.
Fire officials said volunteers from 13 fire departments battled the blaze, which occurred in the row of stores along Willis Avenue near Goodrich Street and was reported at 2:45 a.m.
There were no reported injuries, officials said.
Firefighters from Albertson, Port Washington, Manhasset-Lakeville, Williston Park, East Williston, Roslyn, Mineola, Garden City Park, Westbury, Carle Place, New Hyde Park, Floral Park and two companies from Great Neck fought the fire.
Volunteers from Mineola Ambulance also were on the scene, officials told Newsday.
The cause of the fire was not immediately clear, officials said. The Nassau County fire marshal's office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
