Snow Cushions Mass. Firefighter Who Fell From Window

A Worcester firefighter was injured early Friday in a fall from a second-story window.

A snowbank is credited with saving the 19-year veteran from serious injuries after fell while reaching for a ladder.

Firefighters learned that people may have still been on the second floor. But later learned they had escaped safely, Deputy Chief John Sullivan told reporters.

The cause of the three-alarm fire remains under investigation.
