Miss. Firefighter Critical After Fire Truck Rolls

A Monterey firefighter is in critical condition after an apparatus accident Sunday.

Benjamin Haskins, 22, was responding to a call around 12:20 p.m. when the pumper he was in left MS 469, hit a tree and flipped.

He was trapped beneath the fire truck, according to WJTV.com.

After being freed from the wreckage, he was taken by helicopter to UMC.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
