Six, Including 5-Day-Old Baby, Hurt in San Diego Apt. Fire

A 5-day-old baby was among the six people injured in a fire at a Pacific Beach Apartment. The fire displaced dozens of residents.

According to the television station NBC 7, San Diego, arriving fire crews found smoke and flames coming from the building as well as several people on the front lawn in need of medical attention, including the newborn baby. A total of six went to the hospital for treatment, most suffering smoke inhalation.

It took firefighter less than 20 minutes to knock down the blaze, but they remained on the scene for hours.
