Five Killed in Ky. Rowhouse Fire

A fire in a row of houses has claimed the lives of five, including three children.

A mom and the children were found in one rowhouse, and a man in another, Maysville Fire Chief Kevin Doyle told reporters.

A father and two other children escaped from that apartment. Firefighters had to restrain him front running back in to attempt a rescue.

A man was found in another apartment, and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

The father suffered burns and had to be held back by firefighters from reentering the building, the chief said.

Davis said crews will remain on the scene for several more hours Tuesday.

A probe is under investigation.
