Three Tulsa firefighters were injured while battling an apartment fire Saturday.
Crews said they could see the flames while responding to the Deerfield Estates Apartments around 11:30 a.m.
Two firefighters were burned when a balcony collapsed on them, Capt. Stan May told Newson6.com. They will visit a burn specialist for further treatment today.
Another firefighter suffered rib injuries when a ceiling collapsed.
May said all three were treated and released Saturday afternoon.
A child was treated for smoke inhalation by EMSA crews at the scene.
Officials said the fire started with improperly discarded smoking materials.
