Three Dead after NJ Apartment Complex Fire

Three people were killed in an early morning apartment complex fire in Hillsborough County.

According to the local CBS affiliate 2CBSNewYork, it appears the three victims were trapped on the second floor. The fire apparently started in a bedroom area in a top floor apartment and spread to four other units, the TV station reported.

The fire, which broke out at about 10 p.m. Monday night, was initially a chaotic scene, the station reported.

The names of the victims have not been released and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
