Crews from multiple South Carolina departments tackled a large fire at a vehicle recycling center Wednesday.
The fire erupted at the Carguts facility in Blacksburg, WSPA-TV reports. Thick plumes of smoke could be seen coming from the center, and aerials were dousing the flames from above.
Firefighters from 10 departments responded to the fire, and tankers needed to be called in to help with the water supply. One firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion, but no other injuries have been reported.
Air quality in the area is being monitored. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
