Downed power lines and several RVs on fire.
That's what Rural Metro fireffighters found at a Mesa RV repair shop Sunday.
“Something this big with so many structures or different vehicles involved, that’s what calls out such a big response,” Rural Metro Fire Spokesman Shawn Gilleland told KPHO
Crews had their work cut out for them as they battled the fire in extreme heat.
"There’s a lot of RVs back in there stacked, so right now, it looks like a war zone. It’s just a pile of metal back there,” said Gilleland.
All nearby businesses were evacuated as many RVs have flammable items like propane tanks.
