A Portland family escaped their home as it filled with smoke Monday morning.
Portland and Gresham firefighters were called to the 15400 block of SE Clay Court at 9:44 a.m.
Crews found heavy smoke from the one-story home and began attacking the fire.
They contained the fire to the bedroom.
