Two people escaped a Portland house fire on Feb. 22.

Portland Fire & Rescue were dispatched to SE Knight St. at 8:45 a.m. and found smoke coming from the eaves of the house.

Crews went inside the house to make sure everyone had gotten out and then began attacking the fire in the attic. Firefighters ascended an aerial ladder to ventilate the structure.

It took an hour to get the fire under control.
