LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (April 22, 2013) - Avon-ISI, a market leader in respiratory protection systems, today announced it changed its name to Avon Protection. The new name and logo were unveiled at the company's manufacturing facility in Lawrenceville, Ga.
Avon Protection has a long-standing track record serving the military and law enforcement industries. The company was called Avon-ISI after Avon Protection acquired ISI in 2005, leveraging that company's expertise and long-standing reputation for outstanding service in the fire industry.
Company executives said they decided to complete the transition to Avon Protection as they prepared to introduce the company's first major platform upgrade since the ISI acquisition. Avon Protection will announce the new platform that exceeds the latest industry requirements at the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) on April 25 in Indianapolis.

Avon Protection is the primary supplier of CBRN personal respiratory equipment to the United States Department of Defense and is in the fifth year of a $600 million contract to provide respiratory equipment to the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Special Operations Forces.
