Search Underway at Partial Building Collapse in Hancock, MD
A partial building collapse in Hancock Monday morning resulted in an areawide response.
As vagrants have been known to stay in the building at 55 West Main St., Hancock firefighters requested a collapse team from Montgomery County Fire Rescue as well as specially trained dogs, according to the Herald-Mail.
The search operation was being done out of an abundence of caution, a Washington County fire official told the media.
It appears the two floors have collapsed into the basement. Fire Police are rerouting traffic away from Main Street as the effort continues.
