A Pennsylvania fire department was able to save two ambulances and a patrol apparatus after its station caught fire over the weekend.
The fire broke out Saturday night at the Lawrenceville Fire Department and Ambulance Association, the department stated on its Facebook page. No one suffered serious injuries in the incident, and crews from neighboring communities helped put out the blaze, according to the department.
"We are grateful to every department that came to our aid," an update on the department's Facebook page stated. The department also thanked local churches and community members for helping out.
The department's post didn't mention how the fire started. WETM-TV reported that an ambulance was backing up into the station when a rescue apparatus next to it suddenly exploded.
Along with the three vehicles that were saved, firefighters also were able to move one of its engines out of the station, but it sustained heat and fire damage. The department said it will be using loaned gear and vehicles while it replaces its damaged equipment.
Details about how much damage was done to the station was not released. Although it is not setting up a GoFundMe page, the department is accepting donations at the following address:

PO Box 177

On Sunday, the department posted a photo of a scorched fire helmet sitting on a novelty 8-ball below a makeshift sign that read "#8 Station Strong."
