A look at some recent fire apparatus deliveries around the country.  

The Spirit Lake, IA, Community Fire Department took delivery of this heavy rescue built by SVI on a Freightliner M2-106 chassis with a 246-inch wheelbase. The 22-foot aluminum body has a side-entry door with a Kwikee auto extending step leading to four rear-facing seats, a Onan Protec 25,000-watt PTO generator and an upper walk with five storage compartments. Pierce built this 100-foot Ascendant tower ladder on the Enforcer chassis powered by a Cummins X15 605-hp engine for Campbell County, WY, Fire Rescue which covers 4,800 square miles. The rig has an overall length of 44' 1.5" and has a 2,000-gpm Waterous pumper and a 300-gallon water tank. Click here for more.

This Toyne pumper, built on a Spartan Metro Star EMFD chassis and powered by a 380-hp Cummins ISL9 engine, was delivered to the Iowa Fire Service Training Bureau in Johnston, IA. It is equipped with a 1,250-gpm Waterous CS pump, a Fire Research Pump Boss pressure governor and a 1,500-gallon UPF tank. Click here for more.

BME built this 3,000-gallon tender for the Bureau of Land Management on a Freightliner 114 SD chassis, powered by a 455-hp Cummins X12 engine. It has a Whelen Engineering lighting package, a Darley HM500 pump and the body is made of stainless steel. Click here for more.

The Grantham, NH, Fire Department took delivery of this rescue/pumper on a HME-Ahrens Fox 1871-chassis with a MFDxl-12 cab. The rig is powered by a Cummins L9 engine, and Allison 3000EVS transmission and features a Hale Qmax 1,750-gpm pump and a 1,000-gallon tank. Click here for more.
