MES Announces the Retirement of Jeff Wood and Welcomes Shannon Cherry as Apparatus Sales Manager
Las Cruces, New Mexico - February 3, 2025 – MES is proud to announce the retirement of Jeff Wood as Apparatus Sales Manager from our Las Cruces facility. Over the course of his 30-year career in the fire industry, Jeff played a pivotal role in supporting the safety and success of fire departments and emergency services teams. His leadership was especially impactful during MES’s 2024 acquisition of the former Firefighter Trucks, Inc., where his expertise ensured a seamless transition and strengthened our presence in New Mexico.

As we celebrate Jeff’s remarkable career, we are proud to announce the appointment of Shannon Cherry as the new Apparatus Sales Manager for New Mexico at MES. Shannon brings extensive leadership and expertise to this role, having recently retired as Fire Chief of Doña Ana County Fire Rescue, where he served with distinction for four years.
Based out of MES’ Las Cruces facility, Shannon will oversee all apparatus sales initiatives throughout New Mexico. His extensive experience and proven leadership in the fire service aligns seamlessly with our mission to deliver unparalleled service and support to our customers.
