New Fire Apparatus Deliveries

THE ALMENA, WI, FIRE DEPARTMENT has taken delivery of a Darley AutoCAFS pumper with a CoPolymer PolyBilt body. The vehicle is built on an International 4400 chassis and features a 330-hp Maxx Force 9 engine with an Allison automatic EVS3000 transmission, 1,750-gpm Darley LDMBC pump, Darley Wrap-Around top-console pump panel, AutoCAFS pumping system, FoamPro 2001 foam system, 1,000-gallon CoPolymer water tank, 25-gallon foam tank, four 1,000-watt Fire Research Night Master telescoping lights, Honda EM5000SX generator and rear compartment for extrication equipment.

THE RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ, FIRE DEPARTMENT has taken delivery of a Sutphen pumper outfitted with a 500-hp Cummins engine, Allison EVS4000 transmission, 2,250-gpm Waterous pump, 750-gallon tank and BlitzFire monitor.

THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS has replaced its fleet of Hazardous Materials Response units with 10 state-of-art units from Hackney. These units replace those purchased from Hackney in 1997 and have been placed strategically around the state, including the City of Boston. Each unit features a Spartan MetroStar MFD chassis, 23½-foot Hackney DFC12782 HazMat body with 12 side-load roll-up-door compartments, 450-hp Cummins engine; Allison 3000EVS transmission, V-MUX Multiplexed electrical system, Whelen Pioneer LED floodlights, 750-watt MagnaFire floodlights, Will-Burt NS4.5-3600 NightScan light tower, 12-kilowatt Onan QuietOne generator and Hannay reels.

Components include a Command Light CL615-MH2 light tower, Bauer K-18.1-20-E3 air compressor, Bauer CFSII-3S three-position filling station, OnScene Solutions Night Axe LED compartment lights, V-MUX Vista IV interface module, OnScene Solutions cargo slides, Fire Research Spectra LED scene lights, Whelen Edge light bar and ROM roll-up doors.

Components include a 2,250-gpm Hale 8FG pump, 480-gallon UPF poly water tank, 20-gallon foam cell, Smeal EHL (Ergonomic Hose Load) hosebed, 10-kilowatt Harrison generator, Whelen Super-LED 600 Series Gradient Opti-Scene lighting, Fire Research LED Spectra telescoping light and Hannay reel.
