Ocala, FL (April 21,2016)–Hale Products, Inc. is excited to introduce a new Class 1 SmartFOAM System. Debuting during FDIC International in Indianapolis, the system features an intuitive user interface, advanced safety interlocks, fully configurable presets and data logging.
“Our goal with this product is to make a foam system as easy to use as a standard pump,” said David Guynn, business line director for vehicle electronics, foam and CAFS for Hale Products. “The SmartFOAM system is a vital addition to the most flexible foam system in the fire service. We are thrilled to be first in the North American fire market to offer this superior product.”
The Class 1 SmartFOAM system utilizes Hale’s industry leading UltraView controller with a full color, wide-angle display, viewable in all lighting conditions –even direct sunlight. The waterproof enclosure has an IP67 rating and an operating temperature range from -40° F to 185° F. The touch screen display is user-friendly with icons for easy understanding, plain text warnings and on-screen tutorials for calibration.
The safety interlocks prevent the user from mixing A and B foams and avoid damage by stopping the foam pump from operating in a “dry” condition. The SmartFOAM system automatically logs all aspects of the last 200 hours of operation, which can be easily transferred to a USB. Additionally, the on-screen interval maintenance display provides detailed information about required service updates.
The system features six fully configurable presets which allow foam selection based on specific needs. The SmartFOAM controller can also be programmed in multiple languages and units of measure.
