Zico Introduces New Slide-Out Flip-Down Assembly
Emergency response workers can safely slide larger cylinders out and down from confined areas with Zico’s newly improved Slide Out Flip-Down assembly. It features a larger, two-handed, handle design that allows for a safer, more controlled operation. The front access locking pin is designed for easier access and allows for a one-person operation. It mounts under bench/squad seats, or other tight areas, for maximum use of available space. It accepts M-H cylinder sizes and meets the SAE suggested standard.
“In 2017, SAE changed their suggestions for retaining pressurized cylinders. Because of this, our original design went from a one-person operation to a two-person operation. This was necessary to pass testing quickly to keep the QR-SOFD in production,” said Keith Creely, VP of Ziamatic Corp. "With some influence from customers, we redesigned this system once again to make it a one-person operation. Now our newly designed QR-SOFD-2 is more efficient and more user friendly than ever.”
