NH Firefighters Injured in Crash Involving Two Apparatus

Eight Manchester firefighters—as well as a civilian—were taken to the hospital after two fire vehicles were in an accident with a pickup truck while responding to a call Friday.

At least eight firefighters were injured after two fire apparatus were in an accident with a pickup truck Friday.

Two Manchester Fire vehicles that were responding to a call at the time of the crash, WMUR-TV reports. Besides damaging the apparatus, the collision also knocked down a traffic signal pole.

Five ambulances responded to the incident, taking nine peoplea civilian was injured along with the firefighters—to the hospital. All the firefighters were treated and release, but the civilian remained hospitalized as of 4 p.m., WMUR added.
