That's when another vehicle crashed into Truck 2. The impact of the accident sent the vehicle barreling into a car in the next lane.

Truck 2 sustained significant damage to the front axle assembly and was towed from the scene. The rig's crew switched to a reserve vehicle and continued working, according to the department.

No firefighters were injured in the incident. The department did not say if anyone in the other vehicles were injured in the accident.

"Responding to calls like this are some of the most dangerous situations we encounter," the department stated. "Our firefighters have families they want to get home to. So please, help them do that by moving over."
