Midwest Fire Equipment & Repair Co. Sold to Investors
Midwest Fire Equipment & Repair Company have announced that company founders Scott and Pam Schneekloth have sold the company to a family investor group lead by Sarah Atchison.
Atchison along with family members Lyle and Jane Gessell purchased the company because it aligns with a mission to work with small, Midwestern, manufacturing operations developing products that help save lives.
Sarah Atchison has experience with an aerospace design and manufacturing firm, Spectrum Aeromed, an INC. Magazine 500 Fastest Growing company, whose mission is to save lives with its air medical equipment.
Spectrum Aeromed is owned and operated by Dean Atchison, who served as a consultant for wife Sarah on the acquisition of the Midwest Fire.
“Midwest Fire has a rich history of working alongside firefighters to design and manufacture great products to fight fires and save property and lives,” said Sarah Atchison. “The Schneekloths along with the employees of Midwest Fire have built a great company based on hard work, quality products and neighborly business and service philosophy. We will continue to operate the company with the same core beliefs and values that Scott, Pam and the Midwest Fire team have worked so hard to establish.”
Midwest Fire will continue operations at its state of the art manufacturing facility located on Interstate 90 and the new owners have retained all employees.
Atchison and her family understands the deep commitment of capital, training and process improvement required to take a small enterprise and make it one of INC. 500s Fastest growing companies over a short period. Atchison will work to bring that same type of success to Midwest Fire.
“Spectrum Aeromed has realized great success and growth while maintaining its family-owned business culture,” said Scott Schneekloth. “We are excited that our company legacy will continue with the same core values we believe in. We know that our customers, employees and the company will continue to grow and flourish under her leadership. Many companies today sell to large corporations or venture capitalist, but the Atchison family brings the same hard working, Midwestern family values to the company that we believe in.”
