Four Injured after Chicago Ambulance, SUV Collide

The fire department ambulance was traveling with its lights and siren activated when the crash occurred.

A crash involving a Chicago Fire Department ambulance left two medics and two civilians hurt.

The ambulance was traveling westbound with lights and sirens on 35th Street when it crashed with a red SUV travelling northbound on Leavitt, abc7 reported. 

The SUV flipped over during the crash. The two occupants were injured but are expected to be OK. 

Two paramedics were also taken to the hospital. Their conditions have not been released.

The collision remains under investigation.
