HME Gets Order for 12 Type III Apparatus From Cal Fire

California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection gets a dozen Type III wildland apparatus built by HME.

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection has ordered a dozen all new HME wildlands Type III apparatus built by HME.

The 2014 units will be built on International 4x4 7400 cabs and chassis powered by MaxxForce 9 330 hp engines with Allison 3000EVS transmissions. They'll also have Darley JMP 500-gpm two-stage centrifugal PTO midship pumps and 500-gallon polyprene tanks.

They'll have corrosion resistant modular stainless steel bodies, HME Hydra Technology, booster hose reels, Foam Pro 1600 2.0 systems with a Hale "EZ Fill" single-foam tank, four SCBA tubes, full height pull out long handle tool boards.
