Florida firefighters helped an NFL mascot cheer up sick kids at a hospital thanks to a little aerial assistance Monday.
Jaxson de Vile, the mascot for the Jacksonville Jaguars, was hoisted up by a Jacksonville Fire Department aerial, so he could wave to children through the windows at Wolfson Children's Hospital, WJXT-TV reports. The children at the hospital suffer from cancer and other illnesses.
“I can’t tell you how much this means to the kids. Their smiles are ear to ear, and it’s so important we provide them these opportunities just to be kids, especially during treatment," Cicely Brooks, the hospital's vice president of patient care services.
