SUV in Fatal Collision with KY Ambulance

A Kentucky ambulance was involved in a fatal collision at an intersection with an SUV on Wednesday.

The accident happened at about 6:30 p.m. when a white Toyota SUV was traveling south on Louisville's Taylor Boulevard and then crossed over into the northbound lane, WAVE-TV reports. That's when the SUV collided with a Louisville EMS ambulance at the intersection of Taylor and Bicknell Avenue.

The SUV's passenger was killed in the crash, and the driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The ambulance's driver and passenger were in serious condition following the accident.

No patient was in the ambulance at the time of the collision, police told WAVE.
