Two people in an ambulance were killed Tuesday when their rig and a semi-truck collided head-on in Pointe Coupee Parish.
Killed were the driver of the Acadian Ambulance, Kymber Nezat, and the patient, Albert Bordelon, who was in the back of the vehicle, WBRZ reported.
State Police said after the ambulance hit the car in front of it, it crossed the center line into the oncoming lane and struck the semi-truck head on.
Three others, Paramedic Hunter Fruge, the truck driver and a person in a third vehicle were injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
