Stratford, CT, Fire Department has recently taken delivery of an all-new custom HME Ahrens Fox rescue pumper.

Stratford, CT, Fire Department has recently taken delivery of an all-new custom HME Ahrens Fox rescue pumper. Built on a HME Spectr custom chassis, with polished aluminum wheels, the pumper is powered by a Cummins ISX 12 500-hp engine with an Allison 4000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale Q-Max 1,500-gpm pump, a 1,020-gallon UPF tank, and an Elkhart Class A foam system. Other equipment includes Whelen warning lights, 258 cubic feet of compartment storage and an 80 cubic foot hosebed.
