Jan. 24, 2019
A Cambridge fire lieutenant said the badge, which was handed down to him when he was promoted in 2007, was taken from his car while he was working.

A Cambridge fire lieutenant is asking for the public’s help finding an irreplaceable badge that was stolen from his car Tuesday night.

Lt. Brandon Hugh Sr. wrote in a Facebook post that the metal badge originally belonged to his father in 1982 and was handed down to him in 2007 when he was promoted.

It has both of their initials and promotional dates engraved on the back.

Hugh said the badge was stolen from his car while he was working at the Engine Co. 6 firehouse on River Street Tuesday night.

His post was shared by the Cambridge firefighters’ union.
