Prince William Firefighter Josh Owens rendered aid to shooting victims while off-duty at a sporting event.

Prince William Firefighter Josh Owens sprang into action while watching a sporting event to render first aid to two gunshot victims with critical injuries.

Owens was watching his son's flag football game when an argument broke out on the sidelines that lead to gun shots injuring multiple people.

After hearing the gun shots, Owen ushered his family to safety and then returned to the scene to provide medical care to those who were injured, according to a Facebook post by the Prince William Professional Firefighters.

"While under clear threat of a shooter on the loose, Josh controlled bleeding of a critically injured individual and rushed them to awaiting medic units. Brother Owens is not the individual looking for praise, but it is hard for us not to recognize the pure heroics of his actions. Even off duty, Josh lived up to the standard we carry,” the Prince Williams Professional Firefighters said in the Facebook post.
