Folds of Honor Announces the Opening of its Scholarship Application

Scholarships from the organization provide educational support to dependents and/or spouses of fallen or disabled U.S. service members and first responders.

DALLAS, TX – Folds of Honor North Texas announces the opening of its scholarship application window. Scholarships from the organization provide educational support to dependents and/or spouses of fallen or disabled U.S. service members and first responders. The application period remains open until March 31, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. EST. All applications must be submitted through the Folds of Honor online portal.

The Folds of Honor scholarship program offers families who have made tremendous sacrifices for our nation the opportunity to receive the educational resources they deserve. Scholarships are available for children from kindergarten through 12th grade and for those seeking higher education.

The scholarship programs are by Military Scholarships and First Responder Scholarships. Eligible applicants include the dependents and spouses of U.S. service members and first responders who have fallen or become disabled in the line of duty.

Since its founding in 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded over 62,000 scholarships to the children and spouses of America’s fallen and disabled service members. In recent years, the program has also expanded to support the families of fallen and disabled first responders, further broadening its mission to recognize all who serve our country and communities.

Folds of Honor:

Folds of Honor is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen or disabled military and first responders. Our educational scholarships support private school tuition or tutoring in grades K-12, tuition for college, technical or trade school, and post-graduate work, including a master’s degree, doctorate, or professional program. Since its inception in 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded more than 62,000 scholarships totaling about $290 million in all 50 states. Among the students served, 45 percent are minorities. Folds of Honor was founded by Lt Col Dan Rooney, the only-ever F-16 fighter pilot (with three combat tours in Iraq) and PGA Professional.

Folds of Honor North Texas is the largest Folds of Honor chapter in the nation and supports efforts in the Dallas-Ft. Worth and surrounding region. Last year, 365 scholarships were provided locally.
