WASHINGTON BORO, Pa. --
Fire investigators are searching for the cause of a Monday morning blaze that destroyed a house in Washington Boro, Lancaster County.
The fire closed several roads in the Manor Township community and cut power to several homes for much of the day.
The fire started in the garage of a home on Elizabeth Street, authorities said.
Eric Reisinger, a resident of the house and a volunteer firefighter, said everyone got out safely.
"I had a small extinguisher, and I tried to put the fire out myself before the fire company got here, but at the time, the fire was too in depth," Reisinger said.
