The St. Lucie County Fire District said an off-duty firefighter was able to save a man who had collapsed at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center.
Firefighters said Tat Choi was playing basketball at the civic center when the man collapsed from cardiac arrest. Choi began CPR and used an automated external defibrillator until rescue crews arrived.

The St. Lucie County Fire District said an off-duty firefighter was able to save a man who had collapsed at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center.
Firefighters said Tat Choi was playing basketball at the civic center when the man collapsed from cardiac arrest. Choi began CPR and used an automated external defibrillator until rescue crews arrived.
The man was taken to a local hospital where he was expected to be OK. A spokesman for the St. Lucie County Fire District said Choi was responsible for saving the man.
