MILWAUKEE --

Three Milwaukee firefighters have been released from a hospital after being injured while fighting a house fire on the city's north side.

The Milwaukee Fire Department said firefighters went to the home at Burleigh and Buffum streets just before 11 p.m. Saturday.

The department said the firefighters fell through a stairwell and landed on top of each other.

They were taken to St. Mary's, but their injuries were said to be minor.

The family who lives at the home was not there at the time of the fire.

The fire is being investigated as a possible arson.
