Arrest Made in Atlanta Condo Fire

Police charged him with arson after a condominium fire that left 65 people homeless.

ATLANTA --

Atlanta police arrested a man accused of setting a fire at a Buckhead condominium complex.

The fire started at about 1:40 a.m. at the complex on Pharr Road.

Police did not release the man??s name, but they said they arrested him at the scene and charged him with arson. Police said they will also charge the man with arson in connection with a second fire at the same complex on Tuesday.

Firefighters said the man??s wife was hurt when she was forced to jump from a balcony and suffered a back injury. No other injuries were reported.

Investigators said 21 units were destroyed, leaving approximately 65 people homeless.
