Two-Alarm Fire at Pennsylvania Apartment Home

Firefighters were called to a three-story apartment home in Wilkinsburg.

WILKINSBURG, Pa. --

A two-alarm fire extensively damaged an apartment home in Wilkinsburg early Saturday morning.

Firefighters were called to a three-story apartment home in the 1000 block of South Avenue just before 9 a.m. Firefighters gained control of the fire at about 10 a.m.

Two people inside one of the apartments were able to get out safely, and there were no injuries reported. The Red Cross said it is providing food, clothing and shelter to the victims.

The Allegheny County fire marshal continued to investigate a cause Saturday afternoon.
