LAKE COUNTY, Fla. --

Lake County officials will meet Monday morning to discuss a lawsuit filed by one of their firefighters against an 84-year-old nursing home resident. The firefighter responded to a 911 medical call at Elizabeth Baker's home three years ago and said she was injured when her fire truck's front wheel drove over a septic tank and crashed through it.

Jennifer Roland, the firefighter, was out of work and received worker's compensation benefits before filing her lawsuit two years later seeking more than $15,000 for negligence.

"It just kinda aggravates you when someone's supposed to help you and turns around and sues you," said Steuart Baker, Elisabeth Baker's son. "You just find it kind of frivolous."

Baker's son said the family didn't even know the septic tank was there. A county spokesperson said he didn't know what, if anything, the county will be able to do.
