He has burns on his hands and wrists.

Firefighter Maurice Taylor was in good condition Friday morning as he recovered from injuries he received fighting a huge warehouse fire Wednesday night in west Charlotte.

Taylor and fellow firefighter James Ogden were burned while fighting a fire which destroyed the Coyne Textile Services warehouse on Westport Road.

Taylor remained at Carolinas Medical Center on Friday morning with burns on his hands and wrists.

Ogden was treated and released.

Investigators said the cause of the fire was an accident.

It ignited from the spontaneous combustion of rags soaked in mineral oil or a solvent.
