EVERGREEN, Colo. --

The Evergreen Fire Department was able to put out a fire at the Holly Berry business on Highway 74.

Evergreen fire officials said the fire was burning out of control at 3 p.m. Sunday and spread to the Evergreen National Bank. It is not known what caused the fire.

By 4 p.m. officials reported heavy damage to the building, though crews had gained control of the fire.

"We are looking at some severe damage to the Holly Berry, and probably some inside the bank as well," said Einar Jensen of the Evergreen Fire Department.

No one was injured in the fire.

Because some members of the Evergreen Fire Department were out on wildfire training, several other departments helped out.
