A Pierre, S.D. firefighter was cited for a March 29 accident involving a ladder truck and two cars.
A spokesperson from the South Dakota Department of Public Safety said the firefighter was responding to a call during rainy conditions.
The truck was approaching an intersection when the driver lost control of the vehicle - sliding off the road and into two other vehicles which were pulled over to let the truck by.
Two people were treated at a local hospital and released.
The firefighter was cited for overdriving road conditions.
The Capital Journal, a South Dakota newspaper, reports that the firefighter's name is Adam Sitzman. The newspaper also reports that the fire Sitzman was responding to turned out to be a false alarm.
