Fire Damages Six California Businesses

The cause of a fire that damaged six businesses in Novato was under investigation on Sunday.

Fire broke out at about 4 a.m. Sunday in a commercial building on Bel Marin Keys Boulevard near Highway 101, according to the Novato Fire Department.

It took firefighters about an hour to put out the flames, and all six business units in the building were damaged, NBC11 reported. Two businesses sustained heavy fire damage, and the other four were damaged by smoke, according to the fire department.
