Fire Engulfs Philadelphia Warehouse

View Images Firefighters had their hands full Thursday morning as they battled a 2-alarm fire in a vacant warehouse in North Philadelphia. Firefighters were working on snuffing out the smoke and dousing the remaining embers around 6:30 a.m. Officials said the blaze was contained, but traffic delays at 11th Street and Rising Sun Avenue were expected in the Hunting Park section of the city. The warehouse is located about two blocks east of Temple University Hospital in the area of Tioga Street. A fire marshal was on the scene and is investigating the cause of the fire.
