Firemen are battling an extra-alarm blaze at a funeral home in southwest suburban Bourbonnais Tuesday morning.
The Bourbonnais Fire Protection District received a call around 6:45 a.m. of a funeral home on fire at 295 Main St. in Bourbonnais, according to Bourbonnais Fire Protection District Capt. John Dunlavey. The fire is being classified as "a two-alarm box with additional request," Dunlavey said.
Firefighters remained on the scene, fighting the fire as of 7:45 a.m., said Dunlavey.
"They've been working on the fire for almost an hour now and they are still working on it," Dunlavey said.
Dunlavey did not know if anyone was injured.
The Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes Inc. is located at that location, according to the Illinois Yellow Book.
