A Harrison County grand jury has indicted a Saucier man on an arson charge alleging he set fire to his estranged wife's home.
James Thomas Lago, 43, is accused in the March 7 fire that left a mobile home unlivable. The home was leased in his wife's name, according to the Harrison County Sheriff's Department.
Investigators have said the fire was the result of a domestic dispute. The mobile home was in the 21300 block of Old Highway 49.
Deputies issued a warrant for Lago's arrest two days after the fire. A couple of weeks later, they received a tip he was staying at a home in Pass Christian.
Arson investigators with the Sheriff's Department and the state fire marshal's office agreed that the fire was not an accident.
Lago is charged with first-degree arson.
A trial date has not been set.
Lago is out of jail on $25,000 bond.
