NEW YORK (AP) -- A fire in a vacant structure on Staten Island left seven firefighters with minor injuries early Sunday.

The all-hands blaze at the three-story house at 142 York Avenue in the St. George section brought 12 fire department units and 60 firefighters to the scene. No civilian injuries were reported in the unoccupied house.

But seven firefighters were taken to Staten Island University Hospital and St. Vincent's Hospital at Staten Island with minor injuries resulting from the fire, said Kevin Nolan, a fire department spokesman.

The cause of the fire was unclear and remained under investigation.
