Bravest, Finest Fly to Falcons Aid

A peregrine falcon whose family calls lower Manhattan home tumbled into the street last night, sending cops, firefighters and animal-control officers rushing to its aid.

"It's baby-bird season, and they're just learning to fly," said Michael Pastore of the city's Center for Animal Care and Control.

The bird was in good condition at a veterinary hospital.
