A State Supreme Court judge in Brooklyn ruled Thursday that the city can close six firehouses as planned on Sunday morning.

A State Supreme Court judge in Brooklyn ruled Thursday that the city can close six firehouses as planned on Sunday morning.

In a hearing this afternoon, Justice James Starkey refused to grant a stay on the closures requested by a group of 16 elected state and city officials who filed a lawsuit to keep the houses open earlier this week.

That means the city can close the firehouses
