Two people died early Monday morning in a fire that went to three alarms in Hoboken.

Two people died early Monday morning in a fire that went to three alarms in Hoboken. It started around 2:00 a.m. in a four story apartment building on Madison avenue. The fire was under control within about two hours.

Firefighters say they found the bodies of an elderly woman and her son inside the building. Several other people were injured, and were being treated at Saint Mary's hospital in Hoboken.

At the height of the fire, a nearby senior citizens' home had to be evacuated.
