    Patient who Stole Ambulance from Omaha, NE, Hospital Hurt in Crash

    The thief was partially pinned under the rig after a collision with a tree on an Omaha street.

    A patient who stole a Midwest Medical Transport ambulance from an Omaha Hospital was seriously injured when the rig collided with a pickup truck hauling a trailer.

    The thief was partially pinned under the patient compatment of the ambulance that landed on its side, KETV reported. 

    The truck driver suffered minor injuries. 

    The investigation of the Wednesday evening incident is continuing.
