Jan. 21—Some of Houston's finest were seen taking a break from calls and engaging in a snowball fight Tuesday morning.

The city of Houston took to X to post a video of city firefighters and police officers laughing and enjoying the snow between calls. Someone could be heard in the video saying "we had to have fun."

"Please continue to stay off the roads, and stay warm and stay safe," the post reads.

A historic winter storm blanketed much of Southeast Texas and Houston in heavy snow and ice. Accumulating snow and dangerous road conditions will linger through the entire day Tuesday and a hard freeze is expected through Wednesday morning, according to Chronicle meteorologist Justin Ballard.
